Public Session for a Nova Scotia HWA Strategy

Posted Mar 03, 2022

The Medway Community Forest Co-op wants your feedback.

Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) is posing a threat to hemlock forests in Nova Scotia. Without management interventions, there is a high risk of losing hemlock as a component of Nova Scotia’s forests. If hemlock is an important part of your life in Nova Scotia, the Medway Community Forest Co-op wants to hear from you.

The Medway Community Forest Co-op is hosting this public session for Nova Scotians to help inform the provincial Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) strategy and treatment plan on March 3, 2022 at 7:00 pm. The session will begin with a short background presentation on HWA, including current treatment and management efforts. Attendees will then be invited to offer feedback on treatment and management efforts.
