Accessibility
Inclusiveness is critical to this movement.
Since the beginning of this project, it was of utmost important that this website be accessible and user-friendly. We worked with developers to ensure that this website conforms to Level AA of the WCAG 2.1. guidelines to the greatest extent possible. This means that, among other things, images have “alt” text assigned, that text contrast is sufficient for legibility, that text can be resized by users, and that information is readable and reading level is appropriate.
We recognize that the language used on this website may still pose a barrier for some users. We have translated some key parts of the website to French, but hope to translate the entire website in the near future so that it is more accessible to our French community members.
