CONCERNED ABOUT THE FUTURE OF EASTERN HEMLOCKS?
The Medway Community Forest Co-op is hosting a public HWA treatment demonstration on Sunday, November 27 at the Four Mile Stillwater Trail, 5 minutes north of Maitland Bridge along highway 8.
Participants will learn how to identify HWA and monitor the health of their trees. We will see Hemlocks at various stages of decline from the invasive pest, and we’ll share about chemical treatment options currently available for conserving healthy hemlocks.
Forty-five-minute tours will begin at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:30 pm & 1:30 pm. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
This event is in partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia and undertaken with the financial support of Environment and Climate Change Canada.
